At 9:17 a.m., staff at the Communications building reported several photography items missing from two rooms. The burglary occurred between Dec. 3 and Dec. 9 at an unknown time.
An officer was dispatched, but the investigation was closed with all leads exhausted.
At 9:54 a.m., staff with NAU Shuttle Services reported finding graffiti on the side of the College of Business.
Officers were dispatched. The graffiti was done in chalk and, once NAU Maintenance was advised, the chalk was washed off.
At 2:19 p.m., construction staff at lot 29A reported that the construction fence had been cut on the west side of the site. The damage occurred on Jan. 19 between 2:19 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
An officer was dispatched, but the investigation was closed with leads exhausted.
At 2:35 p.m., staff at Wilson Hall reported a strong odor of marijuana coming from a room.
Officers were dispatched. Two students were cited and released for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
At 5:15 p.m., staff at the Gammage Building requested a welfare check for an intoxicated subject in Lot 3.
Officers, Flagstaff Fire Department (FFD) and Guardian Medical Transport (GMT) were dispatched. The subject was transported to Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC) for extreme intoxication.
At 11:09 p.m., a pedestrian reported subjects had approached him in a truck on Knolls and asked if he wanted to smoke. When the reporting party refused, the truck left leaving a large amount of exhaust.
An officer was dispatched but the vehicle was gone upon arrival. The reporting party was contacted and information was taken.
Jan. 24
At 1:43 p.m., a passerby reported a passed out individual in the wooded area near McConnell and San Francisco.
An officer was dispatched. The subject was contacted and was asked to leave the area.
At 1:45 p.m., a student reported an unknown subject had entered his room in Tinsley Hall using a stolen room key. The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 24.

At 2:37 p.m., a student worker for NAUPD reported his backpack had been stolen while he directed traffic. The incident occurred on Jan. 24 between 2:00 p.m. and 2:20 p.m.

At 3:30 p.m., a student at the du Bois Center reported being threatened.
Officers were dispatched and information was taken.
At 4:26 p.m., a resident of Gabaldon Hall reported suspicion that her suitemates had been stealing property from her room. The personal items went missing between Dec. 15 and Jan. 23.
An officer was dispatched, but the investigation was closed with leads exhausted.
At 7:23 p.m., staff at Roseberry Apartments reported an odor of marijuana on the third floor.
Officers were dispatched. One student was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia.
At 9:44 p.m., a subject called from the Blue Phone at Humphreys and DuPont to report being chased by a group of subjects who had assaulted him.
Officers were dispatched. The subject was intoxicated and located at the Starbucks at the Student Union. The subject was provided a ride to the Days Inn on West Route 66 where he was field interviewed. FPD was dispatched to follow up on the assault allegations.
Jan. 25
At 9:26 a.m., a student reported her bicycle stolen from a bike rack at Allen Hall. The theft occurred between Dec. 14 at 2:00 p.m. and Jan. 17 at 4:00 p.m.
An officer was dispatched, but the investigation was closed with leads exhausted.
At 10:16 a.m., Campus Heights staff requested that a large amount of lost and found property be retrieved by a police officer.
An officer was dispatched and the property was brought into NAUPD’s office and logged into the lost and found.
At 10:33 a.m., a passerby reported a large amount of smoke coming from a garbage can on the south side of Adel Math Building.
An officer and FFD were dispatched. The smoke was coming from smoldering cigarette butts that had been properly disposed of in a designated cigarette disposal container. No fire was located.
At 9:27 p.m., a Raymond Hall fire alarm was activated.
An officer and FFD were dispatched, but the alarm was discovered to have been falsely activated due to burnt food.
At 9:45 p.m., a student reported his backpack stolen from Cline Library.
An officer was dispatched, but no report was taken. The student had left his backpack in the library, but when he returned five hours later, it was missing.
At 10:30 p.m., staff at Allen Hall reported finding drug paraphernalia in the 3rd floor study room.
An officer was dispatched. The property was retrieved and brought back to NAUPD.
Jan. 26
At 6:27 a.m., a resident of Gabaldon Hall reported two suspicious males who were asking to gain entry to the building.
Officers were dispatched. The subjects were visiting friends and everything was determined to be fine.
At 9:33 a.m., staff at the Performing and Fine Arts building reported items missing from several rooms. The thefts occurred between Jan. 25 at 3:00 p.m. and Jan. 26 at 7:30 a.m.
Officers were dispatched, but the investigation was closed with leads exhausted.
At 10:30 a.m., a customer at the Drury Inn reported his backpack stolen from the High County Conference Center. The theft occurred between Jan. 21 at 3:00 p.m. and Jan. 23 at 3:00 p.m.
An officer was dispatched, but the investigation was closed with leads exhausted.
At 1:01 pm., a student reported an old friend for using her email address to sign up for memberships on websites, which resulted in a large amount of junk email.
An officer was dispatched and the student was provided with information and a referral to NAU’s Information Technology Services.
At 1:10 p.m., a Sodexo employee reported the theft of a wallet, cash and a credit card from her vehicle. The theft occurred on Jan. 26 between 10:10 a.m. and 10:50 a.m.
An officer was dispatched. The investigation is open and pending further information.
At 2:29 pm., a staff member at the Field House reported the theft of keys and a watch from a locker. The theft occurred on Jan. 26 between 12:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m.

At 2:31 p.m., a student reported that a parking permit stolen from her vehicle in Lot 28C. The theft occurred on an unknown date and time.

Jan. 27
At 1:37 a.m., staff at Wilson Hall reported a window that had been removed near the southeast entrance. The window was not damaged, but pushed from the outside into the building.
An officer was dispatched. Video surveillance showed that two subjects had pushed the window in, but neither subject gained entrance to the building. The area was searched with negative contact and the window was secured back in place by FIXED staff.
At 1:18 p.m., an employee at University Union reported the theft of a credit card from her purse at Mountain View Hall. The theft occurred on Jan. 26 between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
An officer was dispatched and the investigation is open and pending further information.
At 1:31 p.m., staff at the Sodexo office reported that a paycheck had been taken from their office. The theft occurred between Jan. 16 and Jan. 20 at an unknown time.

At 1:38 p.m., staff at Parking Services reported a subject had cut a boot off of their vehicle. The incident occurred on Jan. 26 between 1:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
An officer was dispatched. The subject was cited and released for criminal damage.
Jan. 28
At 3:21 a.m., an intoxicated subject requested a ride from Pine Knoll and San Francisco to University West Apartments. The subject was advised to contact a taxi service.
Subject elected to walk instead and an officer ascertained that the subject arrived at his destination.
At 3:25 p.m., a report was received that subjects were zip lining between trees at Cowden Hall.
An officer was dispatched and, since the subjects were not zip lining, everything was determined to be fine.
At 3:30 p.m., staff at Ashurst reported a broken window in the backstage stairwell. The incident occurred between Jan. 27 at 5:00 p.m. and Jan 28 at 3:00 p.m.

At 7:12 p.m., staff at McConnell Hall reported an odor of marijuana.
Officers were dispatched. One subject was cited and released for possession and use of marijuana.
At 10:29 p.m., Wilson Hall staff reported an odor of marijuana.

Jan. 29
At 12:57 a.m., staff from McConnell Hall requested medical attention for an intoxicated student.
Officers, FFD, and GMT were dispatched but the student refused transport. The student was cited and released for minor with liquor in body.
At 1:53 a.m., staff from the Gateway Center reported a shoplifter that was standing in line.
An officer was dispatched. Gateway employees did not wish to pursue charges, so the subject was escorted from the Gateway Center.
At 5:12 a.m., a resident of Reilly Hall reported a suspicious subject in the hallway.
An officer was dispatched. The subject was a guest of a resident in Reilly Hall and was authorized to be there, so no action was taken.
At 10:47 a.m., a fire alarm was activated in McConnell Hall.
An officer and FFD were dispatched. The alarm had been activated by steam in a shower. Hall staff is to follow up with NAU fire/life safety regarding the false alarm.
At 12:30 p.m., staff at Allen Hall reported a past resident for violating a denial of access by being in the building.
Officers were dispatched. The subject was contacted outside of Allen Hall, where the subject was arrested and booked into CCSO jail for trespassing.
At 7:58 p.m., staff at Cowden Hall reported finding a baggie containing a powdery, white substance placed under their door.
An officer was dispatched and the substance was placed into evidence.
