Thomas Jefferson once said, “A government big enough to give you everything you need, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have . . .” Too right you are, Mr. Jefferson. One of the most well educated and prominent founding fathers of America, Thomas Jefferson, saw within the first steps of his country’s enactment of democracy the horrible potential it had to drift closer to the tyranny he had fought so fervently against. The U.S. was founded on the idea of a federal government that rarely intervened in politics of states and their people, only stepping in to unify when in need of defense and to “promote the general welfare.” Promoting the general welfare is not to insure it to every legal and illegal sucker on this side of the Rio Grande.
The federal government has been throwing bread to the ducks for so long that, come the long, inevitable winter, the ducks will no longer know how to take care of themselves.
Taxes have been skyrocketing for the middle and upper classes in order to “even out the wealth?” Ha! Without a stable class system, America would be nothing better than a Utopian society of numb subjects with a central source of power — something the U.S. seems to be heading toward. Helping those in need is fine and well; but it should be our choice to do so, not a lawful obligation. There are too many lazy dullards who have been suckling on Uncle Sam so long they no longer see any reason to ever get one of those “job” things. This is where the much hated GOP candidate comes into play.
When asked about signing an extension of unemployment benefits, Romney responded by saying, “We have to find ways to reduce our spending on a lot of the anti-poverty programs and unemployment programs. I would far rather see a reform of our unemployment system, to allow people to have a personal account which they’re able to draw from as opposed to having endless unemployment benefits.” You almost read my mind, ol’ boy! This is what separates the two candidates. It’s true Romney got everyone insured in his home state of Massachusetts by passing an individual mandate requiring everyone in the state to buy health insurance, which is what he criticized Obama for doing with his health care reform. However, he seems to be distancing himself from his mistake. Romney is portrayed by the liberal media as a “Barbie-doll” president with absolutely no clue as to what’s going on “below” as he watches from his stoop with the upper-crust. The “47 percent” video was blown way out of proportion. About 47 percent of the country’s population is beginning to feel entitled to government handouts, and that’s what America as a country is breeding: a bunch of uneducated free-loaders who smoke the money taxpayers earn and the government gives them.
Romney isn’t a perfect candidate for presidency, as he seems to avoid addressing crucial issues at critical moments; but I’d much rather see a self-made, prosperous businessman who knows how to handle money in the White House than Obama, who’s turning the stars and stripes into a halfway-house for crack-heads and overly-empathetic bell-ends. As Winston Churchill’s saying goes, “If you’re not a liberal at 20 you have no heart, if you’re not a conservative at 40 you have no brain.” The remaining believers in the Founding Fathers’ idea of democracy need to storm Boston Harbor, find a Jack Daniels freighter and dump its contents into the calm waters on Nov. 5 for the fickle simpletons of America — liberals and conservatives alike — to get so wasted they end up too hung-over to make it to the polls the following day.
